Grant Application and Guidelines
ANDERSON/MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA VISITORS & CONVENTION BUREAU GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES & APPLICATION FOR MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA NOT-FOR-PROFIT FESTIVAL, FAIR & EVENTS ONLY!
The purpose of the Anderson/Madison County Visitors and Convention Bureau is to promote the development and growth of the visitor and convention industry in Madison County and the City of Anderson in Indiana. The Bureau is announcing for the 2010 grant program a total of $16,000 in available grant funds. The Bureau may entertain requests for project funding from Anderson and Madison County governmental bodies and not-for-profit organizations.
When funding is provided, generally, it will be to promote new festivals and events or proposals from existing festivals and events for new programs and/or marketing.
Funds will not be approved to support ongoing programs or administrative costs. Ideally, the funds allocated by the Bureau will eventually be returned through an increase in lodging occupancy and innkeeper’s tax. Projects that have a direct impact on the community by increasing overnight visitation and/or by bringing new money into the economy of Madison County will be most favorably considered.
